Awesome that we're just doing the mortgage crisis but for everything now
DoorDash and Klarna have signed a deal where customers can choose to pay for food deliveries in interest-free installments or deferred options aligned with payday schedules.

Alright chat talk to me, do I write about the state of the Democratic Party for the next two years, or do I write about Trump's first 100 days?

Disappointing news, not solidified just yet, but odds are good that she doesn't get in. I seriously doubt Connolly can be a good spokesman for the party at this juncture-- I haven't seen any direction at all from establishment dems on where to go for this congress yet

Senior Democrat Gerry Connolly beats out AOC in key vote for top party post on Oversight panel
The race between Connolly and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had been seen as a fight over seniority as younger Democrats pushed for new blood and generational change.

my recollection is that sicario is a gripping, deeply critical portrait of the brutality at the heart of the "war on drugs" and sicario ii is "brooooos, what if all that stuff from the first movie were epic and sicknasty?"
looking at the right-wing SICARIO fandom and it really is evidence that you can't make an anti-war movie, even if it's the war on drugs.

With the awards for TCT mods this year released, I think the easy conclusion here is pretty self-evident: people love to hate Dubya. All TCT mods here on out should be CYOA, have a stylized font, and be dark and grim without exception.

Kinda in disbelief that the new party in the UK isn't getting the discussion I thought it would, especially with the two-child cap and the puberty blockers thing-- just keep Corbyn away from the forpol discussions and they should be fine.

Need to really get into being the labour union guy on here. Gonna start posting my Substack posts here just so more people can see ‘em and join MY socialist third-party group that collects 0.2% of the vote each election and only has ballot access in Washington and Nebraska

I feel like “poll taken month after 2024 for 2028” isn’t that predictive, but it is good for determining where the party sits right now. Donald Trump is undeniably the most influential he’s ever been in this moment, but we should also expect his cabinet fights to begin to change that if they go bad.

People are ready and willing to write about what Biden’s legacy is going to be, but what irks me is that it’s still up in the air. He was the face of a particular wing of the Democratic Party for a lot of people since 2000. God willing we never forgive him for it, but we don’t know, and just might.

They were all talking about Bobby here but I think it sums up who he was better than most explanations do. He was spiteful and vitriolic like Harry, Johnson saw his ambition from a mile away, and people treated him like the second-coming of Jack 1964-onwards. He wouldn’t let you forget that, either.

Did some volunteering for my church and found this in the locked-off old classroom. Lovely style, but why did they make Beethoven look like that. Everyone else got a nice side-profile but they make Mozart stare at you, as if the name and massive horn aren’t enough. This is how schisms happen.

Something I think we all need to acclimatize ourselves to is that in the very near-future, we’re gonna find ourselves with a LOT more politicians who have just done normal stuff online. In the next 10 years you’re going to be looking for a fix to a CTD on GMOD forums and see the VP giving an answer.
I'm sobbing, he was apparently on the Civ 6 team helping to fix UI bugs as an intern????

If this guy gets away with this, we're going to see fakers and copycats for years. The man wrote on his bullets, filled and carried a bag for a visual metaphor, then disappeared into Central Park. We'll be talking about this guy for years, no matter whether we find him or not.

Big takeaway here is to double down. Backed into a corner for years and they set you up to fail? Launch an assault. Just won a generational victory? Do another. That work too? You already know what to do. At no point is there such a thing as "too much aggression" if their boot is lifted for a second
