My work gave us a couple days to work on crafts we don't usually do, so I spent some time trying to quilt! It was fun, but so hard not to engage the perfectionist part of my brain that wants to start over constantly.
A hand holding a small quilt, a bit larger than a piece of paper. The design is in neutral browns. The center square is a mug of steaming coffee, surrounded by squares of beans (unroasted, light, med, dark), a gradient of drips, a spoon, a spilled cup of coffee, and a portafilter. A sewing machine and paints are in the bg. The technique is using pre-printed panels (I designed the image, had it printed, and traced along the design while machine quilting.) A 9-grid of felt panels, in brown, grey, black, and tan colors. There are simple designs in each of mugs, black cat heads, a house, a drop of coffee, a spoon of grinds, a steaming mug, and a slice of cake. The designs are just sitting on top, and haven't been sewn down at this stage. A hand holds a very small quilt of a white coffee cup spilling coffee onto a black bg. Quilted with a diagonal grid into something resembling a potholder in size.
