OK SO, 25% book tariffs are set to go live April 2. this is tricky for a number of reasons but the simplest is that most books are published & warehoused in the US, even those by Canadian authors, so this makes it infinitely more complicated than "Buy Canadian Authors" or slapping on a sticker

A pal and I were chatting about book to movie adaptations the other day, and I had mentioned that I thought the adaptation of Atonement was a smidge better than the book. This made me curious to know what you might think: what is an adaptation - good or bad - that has stuck with you over the years?

I would love to get a non-fiction history book recommendation about an event in history that is so weird and niche, that it can become my whole personality once I read it. Got any? Let me know.
