Matilda. As a child who often did not feel safe and found solace in books, it made me feel seen. Now that I’m a preschooler teacher, Jennifer Honey’s energy is what I strive for. I try to make my classroom a safe space - especially for the kids who don’t have one at home. (And her cottage is goals.)

(3) So I guess all this is my long winded way of saying I’m 34 next month, and being small isn’t working anymore. The countless notebooks of “useless” info deserve to see the light of day. That little girl who knew her death plan at 7 deserves to find her home among likeminded people.

(2) I don’t want to overshare, but I went to my first funeral when I was 5, and it opened up a lifetime of curiosity. But when you’re a kid, you very quickly notice other people’s reactions. How they squirm discussing Mayan and Egyptian death practices in history class. How other girls play wedding.

Ohhhhh, can’t wait! This is such a great idea.
