Theo's feral habits are a sore subject for him. There is a spectrum of permissibility for bestial behavior, but Theo is deep into the “socially unacceptable” side of those scales. He tries hard to appear a gentleman, but sometimes he requires a little reminder from Mother about his poise... (1/2)
A short comic with two anthro characters, a short, chubby rat man and a tall, elegant ermine woman. Both are dressed in Victorian-era formal attire. In the first panel, the rat man is hunched over, fur bristling, teeth bared, drooling a little, his clawed hands held up like paws. He snarls "ANIMAL-LIKE? You insult me! I'll have you know that despite whatever pernicious gossip you have heard, I comport myself with the poise expected of my station and I have not gnawed on furniture for over five--" He's interrupted by a whispered "Theopolis." The ermine woman flicks a finger upwards and whispers "Posture." The rat man jerks upward, following her direction, so that he stands upright. Nervously, he whispers back "ehm, yes, right."

Ambroys figures he's smart enough to do whatever he wants.

But almost nobody tells him of his faults to his face. If he was informed that he was developing a reputation for being a dolt - not a carefree libertine who shirks the dull in favor of the fine but a genuine idiot - that would bother him.

This question sent him into pissy-paggro mode, but only because his intelligence was insulted. Being a rake is disparaged but he can spin it as being cool, but there is nothing cool about not knowing how to count.

He IS an impulsive, lazy, incurious twit, but he CAN count.

Another invasive game question, this time about Ambroys' blessed sterility.

His lack of fertility doesn't hurts his self-esteem directly; as an irresponsible young man he WOULD like to have sex without worrying about oopsie-babies, and frankly, he often doesn't much think about it... (1/2)

A rare moment of accurate self-assessment and sound judgment from Ambroys is tarnished by his complete inability to make good life choices.
A two-panel mini-comic drawn in pink tones. The subject is a unicorn man. At the top is an ask from a tumblr user, saying "Ambroys: Would you rather destroy your worst enemy at the cost of all your power/good reputation? Or would you rather rise to your highest peak of power at the expense of letting your worst enemy go free?" In response, a sarcastic-looking Ambroys says "I mean, the most likely reason I'd be THAT mad at somebody would be if they were giving me a bad name... so 'taking revenge' on someone like that by destroying my OWN reputation MORE seems, uh, how do I put this..." (a pause.) "Fucking stupid?" The next panel is captioned: SEVERAL YEARS AND ONE REPUTATION-DESTROYING REVENGE QUEST LATER... Ambroys, considerably more disheveled and distraught, whines: "b-but it's not my fault! How was I supposed to know it was a bad idea??"

Little response to an ask mentioning how Leonard has been estranged from Theo's life, but is "very alive" and happily ignorant of Theo's bizarre hobbies.

A short comic of two anthro characters in vaguely historical dress. One is a unicorn. He's a pretty looking blond man, youthful in appearance except for a few locks of white and silver hair. He's accompanied by a gray-blue, older lioness. The unicorn looks at his hair and whines: "Gods, I look so old." The lioness replies: "You know you don't." The unicorn: "Do you think anyone'd notice if I dyed this?" The lioness: "My hair began graying when I was just a girl. Will it kill you to be a bit silver in your sixties?" The unicorn: "It might." The lioness takes the unicorn's hand. The lioness says, gently: "Sunshine, listen to me. When our people see your silver hair, they don't see age. They see a mark of eminence." The unicorn responds: "Do you really think so?" The lioness: "If it makes you stop grousing about it, yes."

In a strange new place, you cling to what's familiar - the devil you know.
A drawing depicting a hotel room. A rainy city scene is seen outside the window, the neon lights washing the room in pink and blue light. The floor is littered with items ranging from a discarded shirt, a hotel bible left open on the floor, a wine bottle and an open pill bottle. Ambroys has little in common with a scruffy dog like Frank, but they DO have a shared passion for sugary junk food.

Ambroys knows it's beneath him--he has private chefs, after all--but sometimes ya just want a dang Pop Tart.

Frank's happy to hook him up. (He doesn't look it, but trust me, he is.)

I’ve had this sona for... a while. That b/w pic is a 2006 vintage, if it's not obvious from the goggles/top hat combo, checkerboard and (sigh) ORLY.

I prefer drawing my characters to (a version of) myself, so she isn't drawn much, but she does get dressed up for ArtFight.
