Do you think she knows where her compensation for being a Representative comes from? I wonder if people in Congress would stay until they're ancient if the benefits weren't so nice. Though I'm pretty sure most could survive on special interest money and insider trading alone.

My biggest revelations from becoming an adult:
- everyone else is also just stumbling their way through life;
- just because you're old doesn't mean you're competent;
- close to 50% of people are below average, and this cannot change.

The Republican base is not going to be swayed by "Republicans only care about rich people". You need to give concrete examples of how they are hurting the working class:
They did A, which means B is now X $ or % more expensive. We propose C and that will result in D.

What upsets me is the apparent lack of actual resistance. Like there was a guy who said no, was threatened, and then he just buggered off? Where are the people being forcibly removed from their office?

Yeah sure, so evil. But they got in without anyone so much as getting a scratch. Y'all are letting this happen, and nobody seems to actually fight back. I'm not saying storm the capital, but at least take a fucking stand! Get physically dragged off the premises, make a scene. DO SOMETHING!
