To put it another way: Jeff Bezos could easily ensure there are no staff cuts at The Washington Post for the next decade, and he'd still have more than $249B in net worth left over.
Jeff Bezos' wedding last summer cost somewhere around $50M. That, alone, could have saved all 300 positions cut today at The Washington Post for a year.

Of course, he wouldn't have to choose. He could do both because he's worth $250B, which is nearly the GDP of New Zealand.

It seems that the proclivity toward serious criminality (felonies) is far higher among ICE and CBP agents than among immigrants taken as a whole. Stats on this subject are persistent and offer the same results.

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

70% of ICE detainees have no criminal convictions, according to govt data.

Don’t fall for Trump’s lies about targeting the “worst of the worst.”

As ICE terrorizes cities to fill up detention centers, remember that some of Trump's major donors are private prison corporations.

It's not too late to stand up for Americans and reject this horrible budget bill. Any future vote on ACA credits will never happen in the House and we all know this. Don't re-open without extending the credits and medicaid funding; PLEASE!! Protect us!!

It's not too late to do the right thing and vote AGAINST this horrible budget bill. A future vote on ACA tax credits will never even be considered in the House-- we in Rapidan, VA all know this! ACA credits and Medicaid funding must be included in any bill to re-open the govt.

What’s clear is that the old way of doing business continues to fail America. Leadership is about changing and adapting when there is real need, and unless we hear that, we will fail to meet the moment. (4/4)

The promise of a vote in over a month does not meet that threshold.

For me, this was never about politics or Beltway gamesmanship. President Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ has plunged America into a health care crisis. (2/4)

Tonight, I am voting no on a procedural vote on an appropriations deal that would re-open the government. Since July, I have been clear: to earn my vote, Republicans would have to do something to bring down the cost of health care for working and middle-class Michiganders. (1/4)

Please do NOT vote for the House GOP spending bill. Any bill to re-open the govt MUST include ACA tax credits, Medicaid funding, and blocking future recissions. Future Senate votes on health care will simply die in the House, just like DC funding.
Don't betray us. Please.
