I just finished my copy of hello sunshine & I was so moved… what a thoughtful, tender, compassionate story. so many clever design choices & little details… the characters feel so alive & I cried so many times T^T

these are several immesage screenshots featuring my review (with spoilers!) of smile 1 & 2. um if you rly need alt text for this first one let me know directly 😭 imessage screencap of smile 2 review: 1) so basically through a series of ridiculous events she ends up getting the demon from this drug dealer 2) but she doesn't understand what's going on & neither did he so it starts out as her thinking she's just seeing shit due to the stress of coming back 3) & also recovering from drug abuse & stuff imessage screencap of smile 1 & 2 review: 1)& as an Idol Luvr ofc I ate that up even tho she was also an annoying white lady who made bad choices half the movie 2) but it fit so much more for her to be that way as a stressed out celebrity 3) than it did in the first movie where THE LEAD WAS LITERALLY A CRISIS PSYCHIATRIST LIKE OMG CAROLLLL some empathy for the people you treat every day? any??? or at least any sort of fucking acknowledgement from the movie of the depressing as fuck irony of her going around telling people she's not crazy while she's literally acting crazy as fuck! imessage screencap of smile 1 & 2 review: 1) the first movie tries to make you feel bad for her just bc people don't believe her but like OBVIOUSLY THEY WON'T?!?! & how is that their fault [person facepalming emoji] when she was doing a shit job of explaining it & had zero moments of "aurrr is this what my patients go through?!" 2) like she literally just kept insisting that she wasn't crazy & people had to believe her....... forgot to take in & celebrate my boyband jaemjen pull before in my haste to unbox but they do look nice together :^)
