I think it is in fact May 2026, it was pushed back a year because of muni reforms I think. The extra year was one of the reasons why the St Andrews mayor stepped aside early

what is not talked about enough is how so so so much of this infrastructure came with significant federal investment. Even if we are about to enter a new era of building things etc etc I am not sure as much federal $$ will be coming

I am told she has ties to the Kingston Peninsula somehow, but she has been working for an ON trades association. She has ties to the NB trades for sure, but I've never met her in my local travels (and I've met a lot of union folks) www.votemelissa.ca

I should add that 'home neighbourhood' means neighbourhood of his youth. Wayne lives in the new riding now, but I don't know if that is the case with the appointed Tory. I heard she lives on Kingston Peninsula, but I guess electionsCda docs will print official residence

I think the newspaper did a quick analysis when the ridings were first redrawn. Here in SJ, one of the reasons why Wayne Long pondered retirement (aside from disagreements with JT) was he was losing a natural voting base in the west side, his home neighbourhood. He'll still likely win w KV added

I think SJ-St Croix may be closer than we think, as the addition of West SJ changes the electoral calculus somewhat. Of all the 10 seats, this one feels most unpredictable
