Doing my part by renewing gift subscriptions for my husband and brother! A relief to give gifts that are actually used and enjoyed and that support a great company.🥰

Also Gen Xer. I got into the Beatles while simultaneously learning about punk, hardcore, and college rock. Top 40 was my nemesis and was what most of my peers were into although everyone pretends the eighties were all The Cure and REM.

Years ago I wrote a borderline unhinged “essay” about having shingles (while ill with shingles) while taking steroids. What a bizarre rush!

The anger I feel when I take steps without wearing my Fitbit is actually pretty funny.

I have a friend who basically celebrates Christmas 6 months out of the year (October-January) and June-July (Christmas in July). It genuinely makes me sad to see it. Like watching a 50 year old forever trying to relive their 20s.

When pictures of him appear in my feed I think it’s Zuckerberg after a bender. Or still on a bender.

JFC I don’t even know what to say anymore. Stop surrendering. Fight. It’s what your constituents want. This gets the American people nothing but higher insurance rates.

Okay. I was just trying to say this is something that makes me smile when I encounter this person.

There’s a man who dresses like this and struts around downtown Portland with some sort of stereo blasting his soundtrack. Always a joy to encounter!

My brother and I need to clean out our mom’s house. Already did one plane trip but agreed we don’t feel safe enough to do another with the current state of affairs. Wonder how many other people are making the same calculation. Enough to impact airlines?

It does! I arrived home from a cross country trip and the live piano was a nice welcome.

A sweet is the new avocado toast. Nobody should have anything nice!

I heard a woman interviewed on NPR who now needs to carry her passport in case she’s picked up by ICE and she still supports Trump😳

Yay! Dave Miller is a great interviewer. I enjoy this haunting.

So well played!

A disappointing number of my lefty friends are anti-fluoride. Many of them grew up with and benefited from fluoridated water like me then voted against fluoridating Portland’s water. Extremely frustrating!

These ads cause me to yell at the TV characters who surrender the fun parts of life to a stupid machine. The young woman who can’t decorate her dorm room and the dude who uses AI to craft a first date are my nemeses 😄.

I did this with pizza toppings! Got a little burn as a bonus.

The Oregonian interviewed Portlanders. Even a self-described “law and order guy” noted the Trump narrative is a lie and the protesters are peaceful.
