I told kiddo #1 she could pick & cook recipes for a dinner this week from 1 of her cookbooks. She chose 1 pot pasta & sauce w/ turkey meatballs from ATK. I helped w/the meatballs b/c she's not so sure about raw meat (mom is a microbiologist and it shows) but she did the rest. All from scratch 😊

She then decided I should read her old copy and we will have a book club. I am so ON IT!! Cannot wait for our first book club meeting :)

They could go into the trial because they had a good doctor, while all these people that I felt more identified with didn't." Now, for Moisés Agosto-Rosario, the white men with access whose work had helped other community leaders open up government committees to people of color had become his new definition of ACT UP. What about most of the other hundreds of people in ACT UP— did he think they had the same access? "I don't know about everybody in ACT UP. I can't say that they did. What I knew was that the people that I knew that were working on care, and treatment, and research had that access... Wandered around @gfs-nj.bsky.social yesterday afternoon & evening. We were stopped multiple times by strangers of all walks of life insisting we head down this or that path to see the sculpture & scenery they'd just discovered.

What a delight to be w/other people sharing their joy in beauty & art
