The Housemaid is kinda both cringe while entertaining at the same time as the plot, writing, illogical moments, and runtime drag this film down while the acting, directing, second half, designs, and campy tone makes it up. It is not for me, but I think I know who it’s target audiences is for. 6/10.

Sentimental Value is a superb emotional film that I will put down as one of the best films of the year. From the story, writing, directing, cast, characters, themes, cinematography, editing, and emotional moments, it makes this movie absolutely terrific throughout. Highly recommended! 9/10.

Jay Kelly is a decent film that I would put it on the good category. I think the familiar plot and some weak characters doesn’t do it for me, but the cast, directing, cinematography, score, humor, and emotional depth do make it up to be a good movie overall. Not great but good on it own level. 7/10.

Hedda is a passable experience but likely won’t remember much. I didn’t get myself engaged with the story, writing, themes, and characters, but the technical aspects like designs and cinematography and acting is what make this film to me looks decent at best. 6/10.

It Was Just an Accident is an outstanding movie. From the story, writing, directing, cast, characters, themes, cinematography, stressful moments, and a chilling ending that is so good that ends making it as one of the best films of this year. Highly recommended! 9/10.

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain is not only cute, but it is one of the year’s best animated films thanks to the story, animation, heart, direction, themes, voice acting, characters, and tone it has to make this film very cute to watch. Highly recommended for families and animation fans! 8/10.

Blue Moon is definitely one of Richard Linklater’s most calmest films to date while making a solid film. From the story, writing, directing, the cast including Ethan Hawke, cinematography, production and costumes, makeup, and tone is what makes this film a bit compelling to watch. 8/10.

A House of Dynamite is one of Katheryn Bigelow’s weaker films as I was left feeling disappointed when it comes to the plot structure, writing, ending, and repetitive moments despite the cast, directing, some intensity moments, and it interesting premise it has. 6/10.

I watch both Frankenstein (1931) and Vicious back to back while the former is great and while the latter sucked. The 1931 film is definitely a classic that I highly recommend but the latter sucked due to bad execution of interesting concept while Dakota Fanning wasted her talents in this movie.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere has good effort and intention when it comes to the direction, performance, themes, cinematography, and behind the scenes, it just the first half wasn’t all that good along with supporting characters undercut and hit or miss writing. 6/10.

Clown is a derivative version of The Fly that resulted Spider-Man director, Jon Watts’ first film weakest film to date. From the plot, writing, direction, editing characters, runtime, and style over substance make this movie mediocre which not even the makeup can’t do much to make it up. 4/10.

After the Hunt has to be Luca Guadagnino’s worst film to date with the story, writing, direction, themes, characters, pacing, and score tells apart altogether which not even the acting can save this one. This is dud from the auteur director unfortunately. 4/10.

The Twits is a generic kids flick that doesn’t stay faithful to the works of Roald Dahl. The plot, writing, humor, direction, characters, and songs were bland and dull which not even the animation and voice acting can save it. Wouldn’t recommend for those that are diehard fans of the book. 4/10.

Good Fortune is a decent comedy film which Aziz Ansari delivers on his directorial debut. Though the plot structure, lack of focus, and some supporting characters is what he needs to work on more but the rest like the comedy, the cast, direction, etc is what make this film genuinely funny. 7/10.

Drew Struzan has passed away at the age of 78 who was known for creating many iconic posters like Back to the Future, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Thing, Muppets, Blade Runner, Harry Potter, and many more. I’m saddened that he passed away but may he rest in peace. 😔

The Lost Bus is while it is familiar and sentimental when it comes to the story and writing, it was mostly solid from the acting, directing, intensity moments, cinematography, faithful to what happen during the 2018 Camp Fire incident, and some emotional moments too. 7/10.

Good Boy is a decent film that dog lovers might like. Despite some issues like the repetitive moments and the slow pace, the atmosphere, direction, horror moments, sad moments towards the end and of course, Indy the dog is what makes this solid as it is. 7/10.

Eleanor the Great is a fine movie that older audiences will definitely get into. It suffers from uneven themes with a weak writing and story, although performances including June Squibb, some of the direction, some emotional moments, and the touch of grief is what carries this film throughout. 6/10.

Able to get to watch 2002’s Spider-Man on the big screen for the first time and it was awesome to see! Now that over it, I’m glad I was able to see the whole trilogy entirely! 🕷️🕸️😆

Wednesday season two is bit more bloated with too many subplots and characters, but it is still a lot fun from the cast, production and costumes, makeup, some characters, visuals, and some of the humor too. I think it a decent season for this one. 7/10.

Just got my exclusive commemorative ticket for The Odyssey film for next year. I honestly can’t wait to see it in the 70mm IMAX format as I never seen it in this format before but I know it gonna be very special to see when I travel over to Tennessee next year! Hope the hype will be worth the wait!

Saw KPop Demon Hunters in theaters earlier today and it was a really fun time to see it on the big screen. Some people were singing which is good to know how engaged they were throughout. Congrats to the team at Sony Pictures Animation for their tremendous success of this global phenomenon! 👹🎶

Highest 2 Lowest is an engaging crime thriller movie that keeps viewers engaged despite some issues when it comes to sluggish scenes and the first act. The cast, Spike Lee’s directing, cinematography, thrilling moments, etc are the ones that makes this film to good throughout. 7/10.
