When Creek Fire burned, we had ash rain and sun blocked by smoke. Our schools could still play outdoor sports games because the air quality sensors said it was OK. Turns out that the particles were too big to fit in the sensors.

Curriculum is for the lessons. Libraries can be for much more, including learning to love reading. They are being defunded, books banned, and some have even been turned into detention rooms. No one is pushing sexual things on kids as part of lessons.

The libraries are under the same attacks. It isn’t part of a lesson, so she isn’t pushing it on anyone. Most of us who have classroom libraries have a wide variety, since different kids like different things.
