If replacement level is ~48 wins, this is an 89-win team. I'll take it.

Taco Bell? Instant ramen? Anything microwavable?

And they won 107 games

Kuminga had five turnovers last night. Not a great look.

Tyler’s delivery might age better than most. He’s not a velo guy and doesn’t put as much stress on his shoulder. Look at Kent Tekulve, who was effective into his 40s.

Put ‘em all in, cowards.
November 3, 2025 at 4:27 AM
Yep, all that is why I am here!

He’s a Giant. He’s a Vitello guy.

Dodgers 8, Giants 2 :(

How is this not the onion
September 18, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Conforto is oddly uncanny
September 18, 2025 at 1:41 AM
This is why the Giants signed Arson instead.
September 11, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Maybe we can just pretend he never signed any legislation either.
September 10, 2025 at 12:29 AM
Yeah, they would have to put a “Remember ‘25 💥⚾️” sign up next to the retired numbers!
September 9, 2025 at 6:41 PM
Yes definitely nice that those two have to play each other. A sweep in either direction would be awesome.

Also if we feel like dreaming, LA has a losing record on the road this season with half their remaining games away from the latrine, and face Phils at home. Giants 7 back of LA with 7 games left against them still have some control of their own destiny.
September 9, 2025 at 6:36 PM
The September schedule should favor SF, as the Mets still have to face Philly, Texas, SD and the Cubs.

I think the Giants will have more patience with Lee than they would with other players with a similar profile because he has a unique marketing value as long as he plays well enough to be a starter. Plus, a whole generation of Korean baseball fans are growing up watching him in orange and black.

I don’t think there’s truly a wrong answer here but I will say Schwarber because he hit more total home runs and he’s been in the playoffs every season.
August 26, 2025 at 12:17 AM
If the A’s would do it, sure!

But also, over 2/3 of his career playing time has been as a DH, so it would be a bit of a roster challenge on a team with Devers and Eldridge.

During the five series stretch you’ve decided to cherry pick, the Giants went 7-9 while getting swept by the team with the best record at the time. Not amazing, but hardly a nosedive, especially considering they swept the two series bookending this stretch.

Replacing Wade with Smith was not the death knell for this team, but the Chapman injury might’ve been.
August 19, 2025 at 3:06 PM
Jim Bowden has been washed forever. Eight-team divisions is the correct answer.

The two month freefall to end what looked like a promising 2023 felt worse to me. This team at least has some pieces to build the next good Giants team with.
