I'm joining the rally against the new guidelines and the people that want private censorship on this platform

If someone can't curate their own experience, then don't make everyone else accountable for that - respect our freedom of choice

I'm here to voice my utter dissatisfaction with the new community guidelines proposed, even after feedback.

By updating those community guidelines to what you've proposed, you are catering to private censorship from specific groups, whose people lack self-control and instead of curating their own experiences, want to drag others into their view of the world. Curating your own experience is promoted, per Bluesky itself, as one of tenets of the platform, and thus the restrictions on what can be shared should be as minimum as possible.

By forbidding "non-consensual adult conent" you are blurring the line between reality and fiction, and while in real-life such things are abhorrent, in fictional settings those things do not encourage people to perform such actions. Even the universally acclaimed Game of Thrones series contained scenes of non-consensual acts and no one asked to censor the series itself, but with those community guidelines users could be banned from the network by simply sharing anything about the topic. Thus, it's important to keep reality and fiction separated - which is lacking in those proposed updated guidelines.

Please reconsider the upcoming text and pull back until the remaining issues with the community guidelines are fixed. Hear the feedback here and at your official profiles so this platform don't enter the downward spiral of censorship that many websites, especially those that are not decentralized, have already entered.

brazilian president signed into law today a series of rules to supposedly protect children online and included an "age verification" on "each access" for sites with adult content

this is likely going to face court challenges due to right to privacy and consumer laws, though

idade deverão adotar medidas eficazes para impedir o seu
acesso por crianças e adolescentes no âmbito de seus serviços
e produtos.
§ 1º Para dar efetividade ao disposto no caput,
deverão ser adotados mecanismos confiáveis de verificação de
idade a cada acesso do usuário ao conteúdo, produto ou
serviço de que trata o caput deste artigo, vedada a
autodeclaração.
§ 2º Para os fins desta Lei, consideram-se
impróprios ou inadequados para crianças e adolescentes os
produtos, serviços ou conteúdos de tecnologia da informação
que contenham material pornográfico, bem como aqueles
serviços classificados como não recomendados para a faixa
etária correspondente, conforme a classificação indicativa
etária, ou quaisquer outros vedados pela legislação vigente.
§ 3º Os provedores de aplicações de internet que
disponibilizarem conteúdo pornográfico deverão impedir a
criação de contas ou de perfis por crianças e adolescentes no
âmbito de seus serviços.
