if anything, most of those 'examples' i could think of was socdem parties kinda falling apart over the past few years to lib and green ones after failures to deliver; but its still mostly ending up with a 55-45 electoral split, proportional representation making it a bit more skewed at times

like, the moment i saw 'split, croatia' in the story it all just made perfect sense with him being an actual to god uneducated idiot (with no self-reflection afterwards), rather than something else/worse

not even that, but specifically, out of all places to get blackout drunk and get tattooed with that, split is like, /THE/ one place you could find something like that with the greatest chance, and the tattoo guy not having the slightest issue on tagging you with one

to so many of them, in a similar manner, the realization of them being on the receiving end of the violence, not just being the ones directing and pointing it, was inconceivable; especially to be done by /generic people/ - doubly so that it could be primed by their own rhetoric calls for violence

also, it should be blatantly obvious (to anyone thinking a few seconds about it) as to why many of the mediterranean / levantine foods that have been cultural/historic staples of mizrahim cuisine have gotten renamed to be 'israeli', away from '[country of origin]'
