Just to clear up some confusion I've seen, the newly announced NCSoft Horizon MMO is different from the multiplayer Horizon game that's in development at Guerrilla Games. That one is Guerrilla's next big project

I can guarantee you they removed the combat walls in the sprint up and down the mountain post house. That's the worst part of the game by an order of magnitude

I think the main audience for the Steam Cube is gonna be people who have a large steam library but haven't upgraded their PC since like 2017. The actual PC market is a nightmare right now and something that is affordable and can handle upper middle tier games acceptably is an easy sell

Easier said than done tho, retailers hate digital only boxes and would bare minimum demand much higher margins
Valve is doing a great job building a true gaming ecosystem with a unified OS that spans multiple devices.
If they lean into retail expansion and ramp up marketing, they could really break out of the niche space they currently occupy in hardware and compete with the big 3.
