Soooo I keep rewatching Netflix’s Haunted Hotel. And I get a kick out of the many, many Easter eggs. Like Jaws from Quint being a chomped in half ghost or Abadan going all kid from the Babadook in the backseat of the car.

With IN YOUR DREAMS, Alex Woo delivers a Pixar level film, with a fearless weirdness that makes it child heroes and their dream world emotionally authentic. Very funny and touching, this movie feels rich and personal. Netflix animation is making animated movies to treasure.

I grew up in Johnstown. I recommend reading this book about our 1889 flood. Floods are terrifying, as is what follows in terms of rubbernecking and moralizing. It’s a crucial history.

Sure! Cross stitch is a bit different. There’s less counting here. I make my own patterns by tracing images I like. Then trace them onto fabric with a makeshift light box. Either paper on a window or an iPad.
