#iteachmath What suggestions do you have for developing PSTs receptiveness to feedback? My strategies are only somewhat effective. Some students seem discouraged or overwhelmed no matter what I do.

#iteachmath My PSTs often say "teach multiple strategies so every student can find the one that works for them," as if there's a "find your true love" approach to computation. You need to date around and then marry the "right one." I'd like to challenge this thinking. What's your approach?

How do you introduce your elementary math methods students to lesson planning? It seems the biggest hurdle (at intermediate level) is unpacking the standard and setting goals. Agree/disagree? Any strategies to suggest?
