Just want to point out that social programs aren’t really the same thing as socialism.

But since we’re talking about social programs now, something I’d really like to see NYC do: free public WiFi. Seems like it would be really straightforward to do, and it could prove truly beneficial.

Oh look. I can play as Art the Clown in a Simpsons-ified Fortnite right now.

This feels allllllll sorts of wrong and disturbing, and yet … also totally in keeping with Art’s character.

Oh good god, Platner. It’s almost like you just can’t trust white men anymore.

My favorite part of Andor was when Bix looked at Cassian and said “we just need a massive turnout for the midterms next year.”

ok so the times witnessed reporters receiving cash from Adams people three times at mayoral events and sat on it for over a month but couldn’t pass up a hot tip from a neonazi about Mamdani’s unsuccessful college application for long enough to check if the neonazi had already been identified

Also: NYC is not a hellhole. It’s really nice, and I feel so much safer here than anywhere else. But that will change if Trump brings his gestapo here.

Fuck this administration.

This is such a nightmare. It is absolutely monstrous what we are doing. Places like this, including those in the United States itself, should be shut down. No one deserves to be treated like this. www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/0...

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving.

There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later.

They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

I've been checking out a lot more books from the library lately, making copious use of NYPL's hold request system to have them delivered to my local branch.

All I can say is, it's glorious, and I love it.

Sinners is a goddamn great horror movie. I love every second of it.

That was an incredibly Game of Thrones-ish Last of Us episode. And HBO put it out there with a “when was the last time we really hurt you?” sizzle reel. Cute.

Close CECOT and every hellhole like it. It's a human rights nightmare torture chamber. No one should be sent there. That the united states is paying to imprison people there at all is an abomination. Sickening.

Yep. Incident after incident with this administration reeks of a government-by-AI approach. From the broken tattoo image analysis to this nonsense tariff formula. We are being run by idiots with a ChatGPT account. www.theverge.com/news/642620/...

Been happening a lot lately where I’m suddenly overwhelmed. What’s inside me doesn’t feel like a heart breaking. It feels like an emotional avalanche. Everything coming down. A total sadness with incredible momentum and unstoppable force.
