Væsentlig udeladelse fra Wegener. En anden man kunne pege på de store forskelle mellem områder og de nedskæringer som særligt har ramt samfundsvidenskabelig og humanistiske uddannelser og forskningsområder. Der er alt for store forskelle i betingelserne for at forsker og undervise mellem områder.
Budskabet fra Wegener er at Danmark er det bedste sted at forske fordi det vælter ind med penge til forskning.
Men han forholder sig til at hvordan de selvsamme penge har bidraget til den projektøkonomi på universitetet der medfører uholdbare vilkår for forskere.

Så blev det Danmarks Country Overshoot Day 2025, og fra og med idag har vores lille grønne foregangsland brugt så mange naturressourcer, at alt vi forbruger fra nu af, er lig med et overtræk på naturkontoen. Godt, og heldigvis, at langt de fleste andre lande forbruger mindre end os.
