March is National Kidney Awareness month, so I thought I would share some interesting statistics regarding the Transplant waiting list in the United States shaded below. I was never aware of this until it impacted my family when my husband went into kidney failure in June of 2019.

Paired kidney donation essentially guarantees that each recipient will receive a living donor kidney. It’s the best outcome for people experiencing kidney failure as living organs last for decades while those from cadavers last for years. See below: 2/
