“Newly released report” is not the way a media outlet should cite a report they obtained by asking gov’t for a copy another media outlet got by filing a FIPPA. Give credit where credit is due.

Manitoba finally got plastic health cards but as @ianfroese.bsky.social reports, the $6M cards miss key things found in other provinces:
1) no expiry date
2) no photo
3) the digital component that was supposed to roll out at the same time is delayed

Last year, we learned that Geraldine Mason was sitting in jail, sent there for three months to treat her tuberculosis. Yesterday we learned the details of a bill introduced by Manitoba government that will ensure this never happens again.

Did you know that Manitoba regulates the cost of 1L milk? It has a max cost between $1.93-$2.10. This weekend, Walmart suddenly jacked the price to $2.88. Once CBC started asking questions -- they brought the price back to the set maximum.
