Spice level for me can be anywhere from Fourth Wing and A Court of Thorns and Roses all the way up to 50 Shades of Grey. Perfectly fine with kink language/dynamics—it’d just need to be done in an accessible way so it appeals to not only a kinky audience but also vanilla readers.

I do think it’s important for publishers to produce the sort of books that kids are asking for—I also think it’s important to keep publishing books they might not have thought to ask for but can discover a love for! Some of my favorite books as a kid were just these sort of discoveries.
