People talk a big game of 'oooh hardship and societal disruption make art' no they don't they make artists fear for their lives and struggle to do even the most basic of tasks, let alone write about what's happening to them and loved ones to ensure society has access to that info.

this was not a pickle i expected to find myself in this morning, but luckily it only took two pages of a google search to find something with a promising answer! i think the tl;dr is its just what's most commonly used, and it sounds good/maybe has a nice feeling of parallelism being subject/subject
