Angry Witch. Postmenopausal. No decent sleep in two weeks.
Nothing like waking up to a scolding from the mayor. In another time and place, and from different politicians, it was get well soon cards. Ah the vagaries of life. It's okay... we all wake up cranky sometimes, especially when we have to be dragged into the 21st century. It's MS not MRS, to start.

Truth is I love some of you SO MUCH I must cry or sing lest my heart burst from my chest.

Sweet newfie puppy in the morning sun. Good boy is good.

Okay Shelburne, I could love you. Thank you for showing me you care. It's a start, anyway.

We can now use the walkway our neighbours made in our backyard from cutting down our trees, since the Town has removed the barrier they set up to block us.

Some faith restored goes a very long way.

Okay but seriously how Freemasons get into all of this.
December 11, 2025 at 3:46 PM
You do realize AA is not the Freemasons, where you all support each other in the real world because of your shared membership in the club, right? Not every action can be excused with addiction and you do your community a disservice when you permit wrongdoing because you see each other at meetings.

A new little crow sang with me today! Instead of that perfect fourth song from last year, little crow tried to echo my singsong "hel-lo!" with the second note a major third down from the first. It came out "coo hoo hoo" all on the second note, several times in response to my calls. Peanuts for all!

The problem with refusing to get involved in neighbour wars as a town official is you run the risk of pissing off the wrong witch.
December 7, 2025 at 5:58 PM
My crow friends catch my attention by flying past my window and waiting silently in the trees. This morning I waved to one and received a wing flap in what I am now convinced is a response. I opened the window to say hello and ask if they would like some peanuts.

Good morning, Darlings 🥰

Menopause can be literally disabling, and yet so few medical professionals treat it properly. Why do we know so little about something that happens to half the population, while knowing so much about how to maintain an erection?

Halle Berry is a champion and y'all are butthurt about Democrats.

THANK YOU Halle Berry! You may have saved my life.

I came here instead of screaming this morning. Are you proud of me? I'm proud of me.

Our malicious neighbour has noisily revved his engine past my house several times since my husband went out. Do you think he's looking for attention? If he's trying to intimidate me, it's not working. Let's all offer him a cookie. Maybe that will make him feel better.

Don't think I'm for the Conservatives when I call out the Liberals. There is no leftist party in Canada. It took me a few decades to figure it out. Now that I know the game is rigged, I'd rather flip the table than sit at it.

Thinking of the time when a Canadian MP tokenized disabled people for her own gain, then fired and SUED her autistic staffer who worked so hard to get her elected when she blew the whistle on workplace harassment and discrimination. "Suck it up, we had to as women," I think were her words.

Fun fact: Any level of government can appropriate land with federal approval and justification. Hint, hint.
December 4, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Instead of allowing so many people from out of town/province/country to own houses that sit empty for more than half the year so that rich people can have summer playhouses while entire towns decay and people become homeless and desperate, how about this:

Today I'll try to act as if it's true that everything I see is a dream and I am the dreamer. I am choosing a happier dream. No need to reiterate how much this place sucks. I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me. I am willing to see things differently.

I wonder how many empty homes and cottages there are within 5km of the local volunteer fire department. I can see at least four from my house.

I would crochet but I'm too angry for yellow. Time for another rage doily. This time it can be tiny and maybe purple. Need to focus my attention on something. Every stitch shall be another curse.

Our malicious neighbour filmed and posted my breakdown in my backyard online, with the caption, "Enjoy what insanity looks like."

No, asshole. THIS is what insanity looks like. Enjoy this.
