I said in my wrap-up that I wanted to aim for 10 platinum trophies in 2026, but I’ve actually managed to achieve that in 2025 since posting this.
Still aiming for 10 next year, but I’m more than happy to try and surpass that. What a great way to end the year!

Played some incredible games in 2025.
Hours played is down from last year, but that’s mostly because I got a Switch 2.
Pretty pleased with 8 platinum trophies as well! Going to aim for 10 in 2026.

A fun and fresh take on a wrestling game! I’ve been a fan of AEW since it started in 2019, but it’s taken this long for me to check out the game.
Not a perfect game by any stretch, but the more arcade-y style is really fun compared to the WWE 2K games.

Platinum #52: AEW: Fight Forever

Cute and cosy game! I’ve always loved Peanuts so this was super fun.
Sometimes it’s nice playing something so chill and low stakes. Nice and easy platinum as well!

Everyone predicted the sweep, but Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 did deserve to win for most of their awards.
So happy that Jennifer English won Best Performance. Ben Starr would have also been an excellent choice.

Rolled credits on Donkey Kong Bananza. Fantastic game! I had such a fun time with this one.
Loved all of the different Bananza transformations and smashing everything in sight in search of bananas and fossils was a blast.
The relationship between DK and Pauline was super sweet as well.

Favourite game of all time and it feels so good to finally have the platinum trophy.
I absolutely adored my New Game Plus run of this game, and it was so nice to revisit the OG after playing Royal.
This version holds up strong, and I still prefer this ending.

With all this talk about GOTY, it felt like the right time share this again.
Ben Starr deserved it for Clive Rosfield*, and he definitely deserves it for Verso.

It’s so easy to get lost in this world, exploring and doing side quests, and hunting bounties.

New game alert! Picked up Hades on Switch and I’m super excited to play it.
The trailer for Hades II was so good that I tried out the original on my wife’s Steam Deck and loved what I played.
