Knicks in Dallas. Brunson in, Flagg out.

Mavs lead 17-15 with four min left in Q1. Went on an 11-1 run earlier; Karl Towns just postered Gafford before checking out for Mitch Robinson.

Still early but Brunson has looked fine, just missed shots early

Jalen Brunson suffered a grade 1 ankle sprain, is out against the Heat tomorrow, and will be reevaluated daily according to every other member of the beat.

Grade 1 is a mild sprain with stretched ligaments, resulting in mild tenderness and swelling, according to Google.

Just filed my piece from tonight’s Knick loss – their first at home this season.

7-4 on the year thus far. Mike Brown put the ball in the players’ court with regard to his biggest problem with their performance in the L.

Story out in the morning 💤

Mike Brown on going with Deuce McBride over Mikal Bridges late:

"Just trying to spark something defensively, offensively, Deuce hit a couple 3's. Thought he was pretty good defensively. Same with Landry, thought he was pretty good defensively, hit a couple shots...searching"
November 13, 2025 at 3:18 AM
Mike Brown says Jalen Brunson turned his right ankle but that's al he knows
November 13, 2025 at 3:12 AM
FINAL: Magic win 124-107.

Knicks had won five straight games coming into tonight, all part of their active home stand.

They play once more at home, on Friday, against the Heat. It’s an NBA Cup night.

Jalen Brunson appeared to tweak something – some part of his leg?

Went to locker room, Rick Brunson went back with him but already returned to the bench
November 13, 2025 at 2:38 AM
With 1:54 left, Mike Brown sent in four Knick reserves. After Jalen Brunson finished his trip to the line, he committed a foul & subbed out too.

Kolek, Dadiet, Diawara, Yabusele, Hukporti in for NY

Dadiet and Penda, two Frenchmen, had a seemingly nice chat after a Yabu 3

Knicks are doing the right things for a team down 13 with 2:20 left. Pressuring the ball, doubling & stunting, sticking to making simple decisions.

Doesn't seem like it'll be enough. Magic 115, Knicks 99. Jalen Brunson, amid his sixth 30-point game of the season, will shoot two
November 13, 2025 at 2:33 AM
Desmond Bane will shoot two free throws with 2:52 left in the game. He has a chance to extend the Magic lead to 15.
November 13, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Jalen Brunson took the reigns. He shot three of the Knicks' last four, making all three from the mid-range. He has 28.

The Magic answered with a made FG all three times. ORL leads 110-95, 4:18 left.

New York is just about out of time to spark a comeback. Would have to be now.
November 13, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Karl-Anthony Towns picks up his fifth foul with 6:28 left.

Mike Brown yanks him out immediately. Mitchell Robinson in now alongside Brunson, McBride Bridges, Anunoby.

Magic 100, Knicks 89.
November 13, 2025 at 2:20 AM
Karl-Anthony Towns took both Carter Jr. and Isaac to the rim and shot over both. He drew contact and was awarded two free throws.

Jalen Brunson's at the scorer's table to check in for Shamet. It'll be Brunson, Clarkson, & McBride in a three-guard lineup with OG, KAT. 8:07 left
November 13, 2025 at 2:17 AM
Knicks are getting some big buckets, like a Jordan Clarkson step-back three, but can't get any stops.

Magic 98, Knicks 84. 8:34 4Q.
November 13, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Karl-Anthony Towns just drilled a 3-pointer over Tyus Jones from about 26 feet out.

Knicks cut it to 12. Orlando 93, Knicks 81 with 9:47 left in the game.

Towns has 13 points, 10 rebounds, and an assist on 6-13 FG
November 13, 2025 at 2:14 AM
Magic lead 91-73 after three quarters. Brunson has 22, Shamet 11, and Hart 10 to lead NY.

Looks like Knicks' win-streak, undefeated status at home will end. Second night of a back-to-back and even though Mitch Robinson took yesterday off, he has four fouls in 15 min.
November 13, 2025 at 2:09 AM
This is Franz Wagner's ninth 20-point game of the season.

The 24-year-old has 24p, 7r, 3a in the third quarter.

Crowd didn't like the foul call, with MSG's jumbotron showing a super zoomed-in shot of what looked like a flop, but it's been a big night for #22
November 13, 2025 at 2:04 AM
Landry Shamet hit a moving middy to cut it to 11 and the MSG crowd randomly locked in for loud DE-FENSE chants that stopped immediately after Wendell Carter Jr. nearly shattered the backboard with a dunk

It's...a basketball game here at MSG. 80-64, Magic, with 4:14 left in Q3
November 13, 2025 at 1:51 AM
The first half ended with a tip-off at center court because of offsetting fouls by Brunson/Carter Jr.

Magic lead 62-42 after a symmetrical first half: a jump ball to start, a lot of Magic buckets and not a lot of Knick defense in between, and a jump ball to close.
November 13, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Magic are really aggressively hunting mismatches. They lead 59-38 with 1:24 left of first-half hoops.

Brunson has 14 for the Knicks, but Wagner (15/3/3/2/1) and Bane (12/4/3) are running the show at MSG.

Neither team is making 3’s. Orlando is doubling NY up in the paint, 32-16
November 13, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Knicks trail 46-33 with five minutes of the first half left.

Brunson, who has 13 points, was just fouled by Bane on a 3-pointer. Officials reviewed for a flagrant but ruled it a common foul.

NY will get three FTs here
November 13, 2025 at 1:02 AM
Magic 15, Brunson 6. Still only 4.5 minutes into this one, but early returns are atrocious for the Knicks’ defense
November 13, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Tonight’s a solid next test for the Knicks.

Five-game streak where all five came at home. Here’s another, vs. the sputtering Magic (4-6 L10), with a better defense than Nets or Grizzlies.

Knicks had a great offensive night vs T-Wolves, need another to beat ORL if their defense
November 13, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Thought from the train home: Guerschon Yabusele was solid tonight in 15 minutes.

He plays most when Mitchell Robinson is out. First night of a back-to-back presented an opportunity.

He missed two of three shots, scoring on a fastbreak dunk, but was a +13. Held up defensively.
November 12, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Asked Mike Brown quickly at the end who the DPoG was: he says Mikal Bridges.

Talked about his speed, four steals, and how he was still part of the whole group that needed to be better in transition.
