Some reasons why new claims may be down:
The most vulnerable jobs were already cut.
Many CONTINUE to be unemployed.
People didn't try to file bc they knew the gov was shutdown.
Some jobs retention in anticipation of holidays.

I believe every miracle has an explanation. For the "loaves and fishes" I believe the true miracle was getting people to share what they had with others who didn't have anything. Jesus used the generosity of a child to shame people into sharing with those around them.

This question would give Mamdani the perfect opportunity to rally support, address concerns, & emphasize the need to vote for him. Addressing the elephant in the room head on lets you share plans for getting it out. I can't speak to Cooper's intentions, but a great opportunity for Mamdani.
