It’s also crazy to me that the bleached parker quink is golden when the watered down version is simply grey… I guess the bleach-resistant pigments in black quink must be on the browner side!

This is fascinating! is the bleach a watered down solution or straight-up? I’d be worried about damaging bristles; do you reserve a specific brush for the bleach painting? also PS i loooove diamine earl grey, it has been one of my faves for drawing with water!

the more grotesque and overtly queer (as in kink, as in morbid, as in racialized, as in disabled) even my "frivolous" character art becomes, the less I feel that nagging "pointless" feeling. it's doing something (for me) even in its indulgence. maybe you need to scream before being silly. so scream.

maybe you feel art is pointless right now because its not saying how you're feeling. maybe you need to make something ugly, something sad. maybe you need to donate your skills to local organizations, zines, to see your art in community and praxis. it's never pointless. but you (can) make it pointed.
