Being a pop culture illiterate - who are these people?

Fuck those fucking fuckers.

I did enjoy figuring out the references.

The squirrels are SO. FAT. right now. And they're still stashing late acorns.

They're so good! Everyone should buy them so Cherie can write more.

Ugh, I hadn't even considered that. I was just thinking about Loony Tunes.

That lowest plan is pretty much what I already pay, plus it has more free data.

The first edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz cost a quarter in 1900. By 1914 the new Oz books were going for 75 cents but due to Baum having lost the publishing rights to the first book, it was still available for 50 cents. (The first book had a different publisher from the sequels.)

Argh, math? 8-3 from 1950-1984, so the Niners have actually beaten the Browns more since 1984 than they did in the previous 34 years.

To be fair, the 49ers only played the Browns in Cleveland five times over that stretch. They beat the Browns four times at home in the same period. (Cleveland does live rent-free in the Niners' heads, though - their lifetime stats are 13-9 against the Niners. From 1950-1984 their record was 10-3)

"Fantasia" lost so much money on its initial release (mostly due to having to install sound systems that could handle the six-channel soundtrack in the theaters showing it) that Disney was on the brink of bankruptcy. But that was dedication to innovation right there.

It's also a Polish surname. Pronounced more like Hurin than people are assuming.
And the first name is pronounced Ivana, of course.
(Also people are assuming she's a Trumpie when it seems she's been at DHS since at least 2015, in the same position.)

My grandparents had a Tonka tanker truck from the 1950s that was so sturdy that my sister and I used to ride on it when we were little.

We sometimes get three layers of corvid yelling in our yard - there will be a raven in the top of the neighbor's redwood croaking away, the crows yelling at the raven, and the scrub jays yelling at everyone.

40 years later, I still have a scar on my left hand from when I was cleaning one of our rabbits' cage and he decided to take a chunk out of me. English lop, that one.

I stole a quilt and slept in the bathtub once in an Only One Bed situation. Bathtubs actually quite comfortable...
