As I told @nickvalencianews.bsky.social: Zohran is running a campaign built on authenticity; voters believe he is on their side, & workers believe he cares for them. This is not rocket science, but it matters for Democrats. Do what you say, say what you mean, and fight for what you believe in.

There is a reason that President Trump's ONLY piece of legislation is stuck in Congress right now, Congressional Republicans are arguing about, HOW MUCH, not if they should cut Medicaid. That ceiling is now at $500 Billion, all to give billionaires tax cuts.

Talked to Politico about President Trump's first hundred days in office, as I said in the piece “Trump has miraculously, in 100 days, taken his two strongest issues and has cratered on them, has destroyed his credibility on the economy and on immigration." Full piece -> tinyurl.com/k47ere46

Let’s add, “it’s hard to rip the band aid off without getting some blood everywhere,” to the list of tone deaf, comments made by the Trump administrations about an economy in free fall. What makes the comments so infuriating is it’s an acknowledgment that their policies are causing harm to people.

Republican Budget + DOGE = MAGA Turd Sandwich. In 2 months GOP front liners have fired voters in their own districts without cause + proposed to take health care away from millions (including their own voters) to pay for Tax Cuts for billionaires. They will eat this Turd Sandwich in November 2026

As I told @waytowinus.bsky.social podcast, Trump's Tariff's are a $1,700 tax, raising prices on everything. More baffling, they are meant to protect domestic manufacturing, yet Trump is proposing no new manufacturing projects. As @torygavito.bsky.social noted we have a trade advantage with MX + CA.

It is clear MAGA Republicans do not want to let ANY Immigrant legal or otherwise into the U.S. As I told @adriancarrasquillo.bsky.social for @thebulwark.bsky.social, Dems can be for updating + enforcing immigration laws, allow people to contribute + legally enter country. This is a popular position.

It turns out, separating families, sending ICE agents into schools and churches and going after agriculture workers has NOTHING to do with lowering costs. If anything going after agriculture workers will RAISE costs. Who could have seen that one coming?

Democrats now is the time to fight for our vision of America in the face of a rising oligarchy, at a time when Billionaires are about to try to take away our health care, pass tax cuts for the mega rich and execute mass deportations that will raise prices for everyone.

We don't need more Joe Arpaio's all over the country. The Laken Riley Act allows for the indefinite detention of any immigrant SUSPECTED of theft. It lets cops detain citizens who look like immigrants until they prove their citizenship. Senate Dems say #NoRacialProfilingLaws vote against this bill.
January 17, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Joined @tonolatino.bsky.social to talk #LakenRileyAct an 8 page MAGA messaging bill, with possible real racial profiling consequences for non-immigrants. We should have real conversations about immigration enforcement, but this is a poorly written bill that could shred some peoples civil liberties.

Under the governance of Democrats inflation dropped year to year for all of Joe Biden's presidency. The Mass Deportations and Tariffs Trump is promising to implement will raise cost of living and increase inflation. We must hold him accountable for hurting our economy, workers and growth.
January 7, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Republicans once again not lowering costs of living. Sad.
December 26, 2024 at 5:55 PM
It’s the holidays, right before TSA agents all over the country are most in demand. And the Republicans want to shut down the government. Not lowering costs, bringing back polio, and sowing chaos.

For my inaugural BlueSky Post, spoke to @waytowinus.bsky.social about the worst take about the Latino vote this cycle. We have work to do with Latino voters, but they did not cost Democrats the election. So please stop with the online hate. Full pod ->
