Jack Kirby created, wrote and drew the Fantastic Four… and a good deal of Marvel's characters, the House of Jack's ideas.

Heads up and prepare your wallet, @seanphillips.bsky.social 💚

This one’s practically made for you: Rich Buckler’s Hulk stomping through Giant-Size Fantastic Four #1.

Could it get any better? I say yes—grab it now on Heritage Auctions!

The ornament’s decent, but not my thing.

It did spark major nostalgia for a new Kirby-inspired series, though. Coincidentally, I just found a Kirby-inspired Ron Frenz sketch.

Isn’t it time to round up your A-team and give Kirby’s masterpiece a fresh take?

Gorgeous!

I’d love to see a version of this with Cyclops in his original Jack Kirby costume design.

John Buscema should have inked his own work—the US comics production process robbed us of his full potential!

Oh, and I’ll blame Stan Lee for this too!"

Welcome back—I can already hear Tyrant & friends roaring!

Like so many artists, Dave Cockrum was shamefully exploited. His first run on the X-Men was his pinnacle—I love it beyond words.
The quality of his work never reached those heights again and declined dramatically later in his career, but during that first run, he was untouchable and magnificent!

It's time again to blame Stan Lee, as is appropriate!

So long as artists revisit this design convinced they must add to it, they only detract from its perfection.

On the day Stan Lee died, I worked at a major French newspaper. In our deserted lunch-hour newsroom, a journalist—who knew nothing about comics— asked me to fact-check. I had to insist: Stan Lee wasn’t Spider-Man’s artist or sole creator.

Spider-man created by Steve Ditko.

I blame Stan Lee!

Don’t tease them, Erik—unless you want them to uncover the horrors of the Age of Pouches!

ERRIK the Unstoppable won’t let anything—not even ORRGO the Unconquerable!—stand between him and Kirby nostalgia!

Hey, @eriklarsen.bsky.social—right?

I enjoy licorice, but I won’t be having it again.

Salty licorice—also referred to as salmiak licorice, salmiac licorice, or simply salmiakki in Finland—is a type of licorice flavored with salmiak salt (ammonium chloride).
It is particularly popular in the Nordic countries.
