I make things in YY-CHR and otherwise, mainly hacks of various old and new games. My largest projects include making 300 Twitter users’ PFPs in Mario Paint and editing every Wario Land game to make Wario into a cat
Interesting tangent on that tutorial: it seems that it was designed for people who were either new to Blender or were used to a different 3D program. Funnily enough, it uses the exact same version (2.79) as the Wind Waker modelling tool, which also assumed you were new to it

It's just as I thought: the hands holding the items are all their own unique models, though luckily I don't have to manually import them from the decomp for SoH this time. Bad news is that there are now two separate workflows for the same game

Luckily, I think I've found the source of the problems: my object_link_boy.blend file and manifest are really old! There are newer versions that were made somewhat recently:

And now this video tutorial makes a lot more sense:

Current issues:
- Hands are still the regular Link hands
- Randomizer crashes instantly
- LOD model isn't mentioned at all

I was specifically scanning these film reels, and thought for a second that they would be viewable

Also found this nice Mike Oldfield song while looking for the official link to the Guilty music video I used:

Apparently, the original gbatemp thread includes an ffmpeg command, but to my knowledge, there are no other instructional videos and I discovered the command used in this video myself. Either should work, and I also included a batch script to automate encoding every video in the ffmpeg directory

Same. Assuming your primary use for it is for game console repair/modding, soldering is probably the most versatile skill to have. Many seemingly irreparable issues come down to one or a few faulty, replaceable parts.

The PS1 laser isn't exactly powerful enough to run CD-Rs very well on its own, so I had to reduce the resistance in the potentiometer. It was originally 1,000 Ohms, and I tuned it to around 700. As with the Gamecube, this will lower the laser's lifespan, but it's at least usable

Using my newfound DVD-R powers, I can use FreeDVDBoot to run homebrew applications, which includes Memory Card Annihilator to read/write to memory cards. Since the PS2 can read and write PS1 cards, I was able to install an exploit on one and can now run burned PS1 discs
