Udo Kier was my first choice as inspiration for my 2013 cast for the role of a mysterious figure who was to express charisma, threat, and power with a few awe-inspiring glances, subtle movements, and few words. No one could have been better.

Rest in peace.

Happy 30th anniversary, my dear Ghost in the Shell. 💚

Fast delivery via @peow.bsky.social: Linnea Sterte's incredibly beautiful work arrived! I've browsed through it a bit and I'm thrilled! Thanks for the tip, @jimmymakepeace.bsky.social! I can hardly wait to immerse myself in this world, the art is incredible! @decassette.bsky.social. 😍

Beautiful film! Reminded me of the art of Núria Tamarit, although very different. "The polar wolf" is a story about trust, abuse of power, friendship, nature and humanity, told with a focus on strong female characters – and a cute doggy. It's wort a read.

I had the incredible honor of learning from the master Shūichi Kusamori (Grave of the Fireflies, GitS 1&2, Samurai Champloo etc), himself by attending his first workshop in person. He is obsessed with details and has a preference for dark & dirty subjects. I can relate to that. First time gouache:

Art swap with the super kind and talented Jared Muralt. We met at comic festival Munich and got along right away. Can't wait to dive into "The Fall".

If you like Moebius, Tintin, The Last of Us, socially critical, realistic end-time scenarios and Switzerland, this might be something for you, too. 😍

Look what came in the mail today: The Fifth Ace! I love it! This means a lot to me, as it reminds me of the unforgettable time in LA, the Game Awards, our reveal trailer, and my work on it. Thanks for signing, @crowwkui.bsky.social! and to Ops and Nucleus, who made it all possible for the dogs. 🙏❤️🐾

I'd also like to draw attention to an organization that's very important to me. Run by a lovely and incredibly dedicated, animal-loving couple, with the help of some supporters, SAWA does truly important work on the island. If you're able to support them, please check it out:

The last morning dawned, and to everyone's delight, Jack came by again to say goodbye. He wasn't thrilled that we were leaving, and saying goodbye was very, very difficult for all of us. Hopefully, we'll see them again! I'll never forget Frieda and Jack, for sure. ❤️

After about a week and a half of contact and two hours of intensive trust training, Frieda was finally able to relax & enjoy being petted. She's so attached to Jack, but she was lacking a key skill that would help her either get more food or even find a new home. Now things should be easier for her.

Frieda purrs. 😭❤️
October 23, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Finally, after about two hours, two numb legs, and sore heels, the time had come. I was allowed to pet Frieda. And she started to purr!
October 23, 2025 at 8:49 AM
Slowly but surely she started trusting my hand moving in front of her, too. Getting too close, resulted in her attacking softly but with crawls out, to show me how far I am allowed to go. She was constantly readjusting the distances...
October 23, 2025 at 8:43 AM
Frieda, probably for the first time ever, found some trust in humans, cleaning herself while sitting on my legs without getting distracted by every small sound around her – Still alert and cautious, but now seeking protection on my legs rather than running away. I did not move for 2 hours...
October 23, 2025 at 8:30 AM
And then something completely unexpected happened! While trying to escape, she ran over my legs and shortly afterward, not knowing where to go, stopped briefly and groomed herself out of embarrassment. I think then she realized that human legs feel pretty good...

Last evening on Santorini. Frieda and Jack came by together, which made us incredibly happy. Cuddling on the sofa time, means hard times for Frieda...
October 23, 2025 at 7:58 AM
Next day, to our suprise, Frieda was back. She was looking so tired again and searching for Jack. Poor thing. We helped her looking for Jack together and found him near by. Jack and Frieda both started playing at the construction site, not minding us at all, as we left for the day. They're so cute.
October 23, 2025 at 7:27 AM
Same evening: no Jack, no Frieda. The following evening: no Jack, no Frieda... but this fella! He was very polite, sounded even more high pitched than Jack and didn't want to come in at all. He just checked the house, us and then left again. We thought that Jack might have been beaten up this time.
October 23, 2025 at 7:11 AM
The next day, around lunchtime, we heard a cat howling that sounded like Jack, and indeed: it was Jack, and the big white cat was back. I joked that maybe it was his territory and Jack was playing up his role because of us, even though the white one was actually in the right. Doesn't matter. Jack! 😍
October 23, 2025 at 7:01 AM
Even though it was still impossible to pet her, it was a huge success, as she stayed with us for the first time to be with Jack and trusted us enough to sleep right next to us. Poor little Frieda got her name from us that evening. She was completely exhausted, so it was cool to see her sleeping. ❤️
October 23, 2025 at 6:26 AM
Jack was happy to escape the attack and cuddled with my son for hours. Since the climate is very mild, the door stood open while Jack was inside, and then, from the sofa, we saw little Frieda outside, hesitantly running up to us, looking for Jack. We stood up so that she would dare to approach him.
October 23, 2025 at 6:12 AM
Same evening, coming back home we noticed screaming. When I looked down the balcony, I saw Jack trying to come to us, but he was being targeted by a larger, white cat. Before the troublemaker could attack, I chased him away with noises from above. Jack came running, still shaky, thanking us purring.
