"Queens of the Stone Age" at Kunst!Rasen in Bonn yesterday. Probably not my favorite show this year, but still quite good. Especially their more well known songs. It didn't help that it also was one of the hottest days this year.

I especially like the third image where the chunks seem to fly away.
But got it to work in the end. Added some vertex coloring to indicate chunks (large checkerboard pattern 16x16), interpolated cells (medium pattern 4x4) and individual cells (1x1). Also added some distance fog for extra style. 2/2

Yeah that's definitly how things are supposed to look 😅
Not a lot of progress on my little project. Did some minor optimizations to world generation by reducing the number of samples to the noise functions and interpolating in between. Even simple math can be hard. 1/2

I did some experimenting and this is what I came up with. The code accepts vertices for any polygon and clips them to the top, bottom, left and right planes of the view frustum. The vertices it returns should all be inside of the camera's viewport after projecting them to the screen.

Assuming you are alread in projected 2d space and you know the vertices marked in white and the edges between them, you could calcualte the green intersection points with the edges of your viewport and discard the parts outside your viewport... 1/n
