The select committee hearings may be finished, but that doesn't mean there's nothing else we can do! 1) Contact NZ First. 2) Speak with your local MP. 3) sSnd in your oral submission. 4) Keep sharing!" "CONTACT NZ FIRST. New Zealand First are our strongest bet for opposing the bill. They have indicated they will oppose the bill if it does not support good governance, or economic efficiency, and that they want to hear from the public. #RSB hearings are a farce. Most submitters are barred from speaking to their sub & the bill's author David Seymour is doing everything he can to dehumanize the 10s of 1000s of people who submitted against this democratic bill.

"9. POWER POSTURE. Sit comfortably, shoulders back, take a breath, let your shoulders drop down when you exhale. Keep your feet flat on the ground. If you're presenting virtually, minimise distractions and disruptions, make sure kids have something to do or someone to watch them, choose a room with strong wifi, check your background." "10. Q&A. If you don't want to take questions, fill your 5mins with your talk. If you want more of a discussion with the panel, just intro yourself and then say you're open to questions. One minute is generally enough for one question. If you don't understand the question, speak to the theme of the question. Don't forget, you don't have to try and defeat the bill with your presentation alone - there will be many other voices speaking out against the bill too, and it will be everyone's collective voice that will matter! TOGETHER, WE'VE GOT THIS!"

Practice box-breathing before you give your presentation: Breathe in for 4seconds, hold for 4 seconds, breathe out for 4 seconds, wait for 4 seconds." "8. REMEMBER YOUR OWN POWER You are not "lucky to be heard", it is the Select Committee's job to listen to you. Remember you descend from tens of thousands of people who have survived adversity. If you start getting nervous, just remind yourself of this simple truth about politics: TRUE POWER IS WITH THE PEOPLE (and you are the people)."
