A quick little update:
I found myself needing to work with icons to represent player input and took a little detour to work on a system for that! It works across scenes and with newly instanced labels.
I even made a crappy showcase too! (Icons are from Kenney's Input Prompts pack) #gamedev #godot

Working on some UI aspects like f̷i̷n̷a̷l̷l̷y̷ adding a pause menu, and having fun with other aspects of the UI.
Also, that cat's name is generated randomly, that's half of another system I'm working on...

The dialogue system is looking a lot better now!
Now it has a proper box to pick not just one, but different dialogue options, which means you can have a short conversation with customers now! #gamedev #indiegame #godot

I've been rewriting a few systems of my cooking game. Now it supports many bits of text and even makes the character talk!
There's still a lot more to add though
