I can't see how it could be worse than ten years of doing very little and experiencing the most severe democratic backslide in US memory.

I haven't heard a peep about this from real people. But I have noticed an army of news outlets and right-wing politicians eager to talk about it.

By what metrics have things improved? If governing is a balancing act between maintaining a healthy economy and improving the lives of everyday citizens, Trump expertly, almost surgically, managed to fail at both.

Let me get this straight. A mentally deteriorating old man occupied the White House for four years, and the country did fine by just about every traditional metric. Then Trump wins, and those same metrics collapse in four months. Seems like a testament to MAGA incompetent.

This is one of the hazards of exclusively consuming siloed media. Progressives and liberals have been reporting on the air traffic shortages for at least a decade, but conservatives have no idea what the opposition talks about.
