If I’m not knitting (or crocheting), there is something wrong.
Sitting at a nature park with my crochet blanket. I can hear birdsong and there’s a breeze, so it so peaceful. My original plans for this blanket have changed, and I will post about it when I’m finished.

The bushes in front of our house are filled with tiny birds, and Walter likes to sit under my desk while I’m crocheting to chitter at them.

This is the spinning wheel my dear friend who recently succumbed to pancreatic cancer had her husband give me after she died. She knew I would appreciate it. I don’t spin, and apparently this would be a tough one for a beginner because it’s a walking wheel.

I went to a fiber festival yesterday, and now my mind is full of ideas and yarny creativity. I’m going to write it all down in a journal. I’ve always wanted a peg loom… that baby is going to get some use!

Just finished the first of many butterflies for a friend. She does a yearly yarn bomb, and this years theme is “Bugs and Butterflies”.

This is Walter. This is the cat I adopted from my friend Diane. When kittens are itty bitty, it’s hard to tell the sex, so Diane thought the two surviving kittens were boys. I named him Walter. A chance peeing on the vet during an exam made the vet realize he was in fact, she. We kept the name. :)

I tend to support locally owned coffee shops, but the husband wanted to try out the the Caribou Coffee that just opened down the road. It’s okay. They have lots of seating where I can work on my baby blanket.

The dark theme scrappy giant grannie blanket that I’m making for my son is growing despite looking like a mess!

While I knit at the coffee shop, my daughter draws in her sketchbook. She actually purchased these of TikTok marketplace. I didn’t even know you can do that on that site!

Working on the Petrol vest using Sirdar Jewelspun. I had it in my bag and somehow the yarn knotted up. Took me 20 minutes to unknot, but I’m ready to go now. #petrolvest #knitty #knitting #sirdar

This is my destress after a crazy day at work project. I’m pulling all of my grey/black/blended scrap yarn, and crocheting a simple grannie square blanket for my son. It’s very relaxing for me.

My office assistant, who doesn’t really assist, but looks cute either way.

I started a scrappy grannie square blanket for my son. My requirement is that it needs to have black or gray in it.

For the past 3 years, I’ve helped an LYS “dress” a Christmas tree in knits to raise money for charity. This year, she didn’t do it (I’m working full-time), but I was able to see last year’s tree outside her shop today. It’s a macrame tree.

I did a bit of stash enhancement yesterday… this lovely carry-along yarn that will make any non tweed yarn look like tweed. I think it’s such a fun idea.

I’m tired of making this hat. I feel like 1x1 rib takes forever. But it’s for my very knitworthy son, so I’m going to finish it hopefully this weekend. It’s the Classic Ribbed Hat by Purl SoHo in Malabrigo.

I’m so excited my new book arrived! Now I need to decide if I need to buy the smaller Doodle Packs so I have even more choices. I’d love to make a My Favorite Things cowl.
