I want to be inspired, amused & informed. I understand life through stories. Interests: travel, food, photos, books, theatre, art, MUFC, #FPL, philosophy, cricket, cheese, wine. Learning French and hand woodworking
That makes it more embarrassing. Explaining to overseas friends and tourists that 90% of the scenes set in Oxford are actually Bath/Bristol. Why not just change the setting to Bath or Bristol and cut the one day filming of dreaming spires.

I felt the same with Bath and Bristol pretending to be Oxford except for a few shots which they clearly did in one day. Totally different. And we’d just shown American friends of friends round Oxford who excitedly told us they were watching it and enjoying seeing Oxford on their TV

But his retirement plans are now in “disarray” and “ruined” cos he’s going to have to find an additional £208.33 per month?

He has £2-4 million in savings/investments but claims he is not “cash-rich” and his house was his only “pension”

Seriously @Telegraph, where do you find these people?🤣🤣🙄

They’ve just replayed it. It was a slap to the face. Not hard, handbags at dawn but it’s a clear red to the ref

Especially weird watching the ball crawl to a stop in the long grass inside the boundary rope. Presumably prepared to order?

I vary them. Whilst I like Connections, I find it too time consuming when it uses specific American knowledge/words whereas the pips game is mathematical and takes about 3 mins

Obdurate - that’s the word!
On a different subject, I find this new puzzle quite satisfying:

Play Pips, our new dominoes game for all skill levels.
Every domino has a spot. Can you find where each belongs?

So disappointing. I really dislike Boycott but we needed someone like him to anchor the innings

Thanks for the tip, Pam. Watched and enjoyed

Sing it loud, sing it clear! Especially after his pathetic mockery of Monty. Remember meeting Monty at Old Trafford and he was such a nice bloke, making time for all the young kids as did Strauss. Smith deserves the scorn

Yes it has. Fingers crossed for tomorrow too!

Public art can be powerful but this doesn’t convey the beauty or magic of moths flying in a wildflower meadow. I’d prefer sculptures that complemented the wildflowers and moths and had no meaning than lots of meaning and no beauty

Or Welbeck? I nearly went with him last week but then went with Thiago who didn’t return so lost ground
