Yes! There should be no shame in paying others to do for us what we can't/don't want to/don't have time for/don't like doing for ourselves. And 2 things can be true at once: I can use a service while still demanding that the companies owning them treat their workers more fairly.

It was hilarious. I was going nuts wondering how I kept forgetting to use them. One day, I accidentally learned I could access my submission earlier in the workflow and track changes. I was putting them in, the CE was removing them, and the client was sending them back for me to put them back.

I used to write for a company whose stylebook forbade the Oxford comma, except for one client that ALWAYS used it. I VERY carefully ✔️✔️ every article, and invariably would have it returned with requests to insert commas. Come to find out, the company copy editor was carefully removing them all!

The 2nd was from a shopper who checked with me before substituting the cat food I requested. She made a different substitution at my request, and included a thank you AND a gift packet of cat treats for my kitties. (Yes, I increased their tips!)
