I “watched” it back in ‘09 when my brother got drafted. It was only the draft tracker, then. Imagine sitting through 21 rounds of names just appearing. None of us were even paying attention when his name was finally on the screen and didn’t know until his phone rang with a Detroit area code.

I think clinging on to these instances of hypocrisy is just self-flagellation at this point. Moral standards are made up and fluid, they know it, they don’t care.

Probably about the same time that everything became “communism/socialism,” the floodgates have been open since before the first Red Scare…

The question I’ve been pondering is how exactly do you reintegrate these people and their fan club back into society after this fever dream abruptly ends? Can they be? Doing nothing just allows these sentiments to fester over time and leads to their re-emergence down the road, as we’ve seen post-WW2

Not attend. Hold your own event where the party takes bold policy stances and provides a coherent plan of how to get there. Explain what you’re going to do for people, acknowledge the danger of fascism, but maintain focus on what the party will actually do for folks moving forward.

So many examples in here are not really disinformation. Difference between misinformation and disinformation is intent, usually understood as intent to harm.

Apologies for the delay, I’ve tried to take a break from here for my own mental health. Long story short, fascism is largely rooted in Roman philosophy (though Hitler loved the Greeks, too) and sees itself as a spiritual successor to Ancient Rome, copying ultranationalist and racist tendencies
