Not how these players think. For most making a World Cup is a pinnacle achievement in their career, even more than any club achievement. Since the tournament is only once in 4 years, it may well be the only opportunity they have.

The odds this happens is less than 0%. If they were cool playing in Qatar in 2022, are they really going to boycott US in 2026? This really needs to be a top down movement of getting enough UEFA and CONMEBOL countries to boycott
