I think the attitude of most since i was in politics is often “well we lost the last election” when in fact if you are voting in the Senate you won the last election and were given power that you should use.

Additionally household formation matters here. You can see i in the covid spike on this particular statistic. The decline in the headship rate also makes this more complex on the younger group it’s a 20% drop.

I am sympathetic to your overall argument. but feels like the sizable shift in the Baby Boomers to late millennials is being ignored pretty heavily in the “same” comparative decline in home ownership of that cohort may have little to do with wages but it exists.

Always been the way but like any tool the understanding of the tool, process and institutions built around them influence the issues.
IMHO the boosters miss the impact of the limitations as much as the detractors miss the
very real inevitable changes.

But i do think Helathcare aside from those factors (org, service type, etc) the industry tends to suffer from the same issue as housing. High skilled wage increases drive up the cost of high skilled services but need to serve everyone.

Yeah healthcare is huge opportunity but there are two issues i think many Americans don’t face: most countries they compare to don’t have a public healthcare system in the way many people think language bias makes them focus on UK & Canada. The amount of drugs & tech is insane compared to Europe.

Personally i think housing affordability on the coasts are mostly a result of broad capital accumulation + lack of supply with some difference in wages (skills) & shifting inventory. People tend to focus on one or the other but they are all a feedback loop.

Yeah, I think the hardest thing for some to realize is people make relative judgements about these things. Comparing to neighbors, past, etc. So this is clear to them in a social media world.
Add Rate of Capital Growth > Growth of GDP > Growth of Income to the mix and you have clear understanding.

God I hope so, expand the house and come back for the grand opening of the Pelosi, Lewis, Rankin, and Thaddeus Stevens buildings. Bipartisan naming can be done for fun.

My entire existence is oddly to forge a different path here they have overcorrected now new corporate institutions are possible, but it’s so depressing swimming upstream.

Yes young people reinventing lodges and social spaces and renaming them after meme constantly to confuse the olds would be amazing and i would give heavily to their drives.
They can start by mobilizing the run clubs.
