OBR commentary on the budget:

"The implementation of digital ID cards is provisionally forecast to cost £1.8 billion in total over the next three years".

Govt says the cost will be met from existing departmental budgets.

Which services will be cut? Will the budget overrun?

That the UK - one of the architects of this fund, designed to save the world’s forests - is now refusing to put any money into it is frankly shameful. Starmer’s claim that he still continues to back the fund is meaningless without resources - so much for climate leadership

This destruction really should have been exposed by the UK’s political, law and industrial correspondents. Instead it falls to an artist to cover the total privatisation of society as we know it.
My latest article on Substack explores Starmer's rebranding of Jacob Rees-Moggs post-Brexit REUL Bill. Starmer's government has gone even further than Mogg did.
No one voted for this. The UK is being privatised.

An insidious danger, which I'm sure is fully mapped out, is 'function creep.'

Starmer presents Digital ID as being entirely benign, helpful, up-to-date technology we should just get on with, reassuring us about how it won't be used, only to change its application later, once there's no going back.

Corporations/Rich don't donate, they bribe. Buy access to policymakers, favourable laws, lax regulation, govt contracts. Low/Middle earners cannot compete.

Political donations must be criminalized. No second jobs for MPs.

The report states that the UK government played "a key role in military collaboration with Israel... a collective crime... with detailed knowledge and cooperation in the destruction of Gaza." 🧵

Thames Water wants to pollute UK rivers with illegal sewage dumping until 2040, pay no fines, law already permits some sewage dumping.

Will still want profits, pay megabucks to execs, dividends and fleece customers.

Public ownership is the only way out.
