Reality, increase largely driven by:
- Broader diagnostic criteria
- Increased awareness & detection

Autism causes complex, but it ain't vaccines or Tylenol.

Couldn't agree more. A bold, timely move would pay huge future dividends for health, biotech and a clean economy. Such an amazing window of opportunity for Canada while US politics has led to their exit from scientific stage. The question is whether we will be bold enough and seize the opportunity
Canada can step should Ministers Joly and Champagne choose to do so. Must double funding to TriCouncils and scholarships and create a by pathway for US researchers. We can do it, if we choose to.

Corey Booker is such an inspiration of what John Lewis said about getting into to "good trouble". Follow that lead: INTERVENE. Don't let students get grabbed off the streets or watch your colleagues get pushed out of their offices...non-violently INTERVENE and cause some good trouble...take a risk.
HELP! I'm being inspired against my own will! I'm feeling seen! I'm uncovering hope under layers of cynicsm! Who is this spokesperson for a self-reflective party that is committing to fight back, and what does he think he's doing??
Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

A scientist's insight: Every lab is like a small company. If you cut funding, even for a month, trained staff and resources are lost, move on and it takes years to rebuild. How long do you think a company could survive with a month long cut? Conclusion? The US just lost 1000s of small startups!!!
