No Idea why the thumbnail is saying 48,000. They actually need 4,200 down in order to start the funeral which would be half down.

I hope so too because a car would be the major difference in my life. I also wish I didn't use GoFundMe, for all I know this could cut my disability check off. Not sure how that works. I know owning a car doesn't count against you though.

I mean yeah. In the land of Trump, honoring anything is huge. He set such a low bar that anything that is done correctly is like being superman at this point.

I've heard lots of good with the FBI in regards to how Trump is handling all this shit.

We're protesting in all 50 states on the same day at the state capitols. IDK how much it will do but hopefully it does something!

Was raised Southern Baptist yes by way of church but my parents were more progressives in terms of being more about love. They ended up joining a nondenominational church when I was around 16-years-old. Much nicer people from my experience at that point. Less judging it felt.

No problem. Not all artists are open to interpretations of their own paintings but to me, that's half the fun of art. If I could paint worth a lick I would want to hear how the painting that I may have painted for another reason may mean something different for them.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I never recall Jesus ever being wrathful, vengeful, or anything that would be deemed as what I would consider "mean". The old testament in general felt very "mean" to me in the way it is worded. Perhaps that's a translation error just how I've always seen it.

Oh definitely. I was taught to dismiss the Old Testament though growing up.

I scrolled through the art rapidly because with abstract paintings, sometimes one draws you in. This one did just that. The darker tones. To me, instantly saw the disaster of the twin towers. I know art is subjective and while this may have not been your intention, it's what I saw.

Despite this, I urge all Canadians and Mexicans to boycott the shit out of my country. Money is the only thing that matters to these rich asses and it's the only thing that will they see as a loss.

There's a lyric from the song "Hands Held High" by Linkin Park that sums up the tariffs so nicely. "When the rich wage war it's the poor that die". My groceries, pre-tariffs, is already sky-high due to alpha-gal syndrome. I'm not going to be able to afford to eat.

It sucks. I live in a red state and that's simply because I can't afford to move. I'm watching as most of my family is worshipping Trump, though they do not call it worshipping but I don't know what else you'd call it. They think he's doing a great job. I don't know what they are seeing?

Furthermore, the teachings of the Christian Bible were, what I have seen, meant to be about teachings of love and compassion which is ironic since that's exactly what the modern Satanic Temple is all about. Granted they don't believe in Satan or the Christian God but that's besides the point.

While I completely agree that homosexuality is never mentioned in the bible, even before 1946 people still used religious text to denounce LGBTQ people primarily through Leviticus. It made me feel so small growing up as a gay guy in a Baptist family. Not all of church was bad, mainly just that part.

I'm not super smart with politics, can you explain a bit more on what this means?
