"I can understand German as well as the maniac that invented it, but I talk it best through an interpreter." - Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad
I'm very curious about the bouncing a volleyball on one hand and a tennis ball on the other exercise they just showed the German ski jumpers doing in warmup.

Yes, somehow the pump ate one of its own seals. It was leaking into the body of the machine.

The thing is, I felt worse when I felt like I couldn't do anything - I just wanted a new washer asap. Now that I've successfully fixed the clog in the drain hose (the other problem), it's like I'm on a high - if I can actually fix this, it's going to give me a very inflated sense of self.

The earliest possible date we can get a technician is December 11, which prompted the opening up of the washing machine.

Wait, it stayed there for an hour? Omg they are worse than mountain lions!

Hold on, I’m going to try something - I would also really like to see a live fire salamander.

Yep, a prickly hog that lives in the forest, that’s what I wanted

It is the one thing that I am afraid of while running in the woods here, but in 7 years I’d never seen one, so it went down to mountain lion threat level in my view - scary but practically nonexistent. Not anymore 😳

It's a beautiful picture!

Every piece was just a blur of brown, grey and blue in various amounts, so while you could group the pieces roughly (ship, sky, waves), there was no defined details to help to put pieces together. For instance, the town, edge of the water and mountains in your photo would be easy bc of defined lines

Photo puzzles are usually not too bad. If you want to be totally evil, get a puzzle of an oil painting. Kid3 got a Turner-style painting of a ship for Christmas one year (bc he likes boats). It nearly broke us. The clouds in the photo will be difficult but it's not a puzzle without some struggle.

Awesome! Sounds like he might be a swimmer like his dad.

That is an impressive amount of casseroles!

I didn’t plan to have him swim so much, but I signed him up for Bronze in summer after the team rejection & the same week he started that class, he got off the waitlist. Our local club doesn’t do any competitive swimming though, so if he wants to do that we would have to find a different club.

He is 8. He was swimming last year with the club in Karlsruhe but not accepted for the team 😢, but finally got off the wait list to swim with our local club 😄 and did the Bronze course on the side with a swim school.
