Workaround: There's currently a bug that won't allow you to create new households in the Manage Households menu - but you can still do it if you load the household and click on the phone and "split household and move"

Tip: sims can only designate and leave 5 heirlooms - but you can use boxes (including the Growing Together keepsake boxes to store items inside - the items stored inside will be passed on too.
